Tili Wine Italy Guest Homes is an architectural retreat located amidst the peaceful landscapes of Italy's vineyards. The design offers a unique opportunity for guests to engage with the surrounding environment while enjoying comfort and privacy. Centered around a broken plate plan, the design respects the historical characteristics of the area and aims to connect guests to the local nature.

Design Concept

The broken plate plan facilitates an arrangement that encourages both exploration and a sense of intimacy among the various living spaces. By partially embedding rooms into the ground, the design adapts to seasonal changes in weather, creating a comfortable indoor climate without relying on mechanical heating or cooling. Ample natural light floods the interiors, allowing for a fluid experience between inside and outside.

Spatial Organization

Each guest room is thoughtfully arranged to enhance views of the mountains and maximize daylight through balconies that provide spaces for relaxation. This orientation creates a peaceful atmosphere for guests. Dome ceilings in select areas add height and openness, giving guests a way to connect with the night sky and enriching the spatial experience.

Common Areas

Attention is also given to common spaces, such as the outdoor pool area, where individual huts create opportunities for both privacy and social interactions. The wine tasting area is designed to keep optimal conditions for storing wine while also serving as a gathering space for intimate events. In the dining room, the open kitchen fosters a connection to food preparation, allowing guests to see the culinary process and feel a part of the experience offered.

Material Choices

Thoughtful material selection reflects a commitment to sustainability and authenticity. The use of repurposed stones, concrete, marble, and wood creates a relationship with the natural surroundings. Each material enhances the overall design, contributing to a feeling of permanence and connection to the landscape.

The design features dome ceilings that serve both as structural elements and as portals to the night sky, allowing guests to appreciate the stars above and enhancing the overall experience of tranquility.
