The e.ART.h Pavilion is located in Sheep Meadow, Central Park, New York City. It serves as a space for people to connect with their emotions through informal public engagement. Visitors can create art, watch performances, and participate in conversations. The design aims to foster empathy, a uniquely human trait, within an engaging and inviting environment.

Design Concept
The layout of the pavilion promotes flexible use, allowing easy movement between indoor and outdoor areas. The arrangement of spaces encourages a variety of activities, creating opportunities for spontaneous interactions and community experiences. By blending aspects of a home and a public gathering place, the design provides a platform for meaningful engagement.

Materiality
Digitally fabricated stone is the primary material used in construction. This choice enhances the strength and beauty of the pavilion, allowing intricate details to be crafted. The stone fits well with the natural landscape of Central Park, helping to establish a connection between the pavilion and its surroundings.

Architectural Elements
Open-air seating areas are designed to encourage interactions among visitors and with the environment. The stone pillars, which feature carved voids, act as showcases for personal artifacts, enriching the experience for those who visit. These elements invite exploration and dialogue, reinforcing the park's sense of community.

Additional Amenities
The pavilion includes practical features such as a hearth for warmth and a café, which enhance the comfort of visitors. These elements are integrated thoughtfully into the structure, supporting the overall goal of providing a welcoming space for engagement and relaxation.

The arrangement of stone pillars and voids, combined with open seating, creates an inviting atmosphere that encourages people to gather, reflect, and enjoy the peaceful setting of Sheep Meadow.
