### Project Overview

The "Nemrut Volcano Eyes" is situated in the Nemrut Mountain region of Turkey, where it serves as a distinctive experiential space that connects with the surrounding natural and cultural context. Drawing on the legends of Nimrod, the project encompasses narrative and aesthetic motivations that influence its design, including form, function, and materiality.

### Spatial Composition and Interaction

The architectural design features an organic form that mimics the surrounding landscape, consisting of three interconnected levels. The first floor presents an oval shape that integrates into the terrain, providing a welcoming entry point and facilitating accessibility for visitors. The second floor expands the spatial experience with openings that invite natural light and offer panoramic views, promoting engagement with the picturesque environment. The roof structure extends outward, resembling a fish's eye, incorporating glass elements that enhance illumination and create a visual focal point, symbolizing protection and vision.

### Material Selection and Environmental Considerations

Materiality plays a crucial role in the overall design, emphasizing both conceptual integrity and sustainability. Reinforced concrete forms the structural foundation, providing durability while accommodating the fluid shapes characteristic of the building. Extensive use of glass in the roof and partition walls fosters transparency, enabling dynamic interactions between interior and exterior spaces. Wood elements, included in cladding and interior finishes, introduce warmth and tactile qualities, further establishing a connection to the local environment and craftsmanship. This careful selection of materials reflects a commitment to ecological sustainability while enhancing the overall aesthetic experience of the space.
