VERTI-PARK is designed to meet the needs of urban residents in New York City, integrating parking, sports facilities, and green spaces within a vertical structure. Located just two blocks from Madison Square Garden, the project responds to the challenges posed by heavy urbanization and the growing demand for recreational spaces. Its design emphasizes a blend of functions that cater to practical needs while fostering community interaction in a densely populated area.

Architectural Concept

The concept of VERTI-PARK centers on merging various urban functions into a single, multi-purpose building. As parking facilities alone are unable to accommodate the increasing number of cars in the city, the project offers a solution that combines essential amenities. This thoughtful integration creates a space that addresses both the need for parking and opportunities for recreation.

Spatial Configuration

A key feature of the building is its curved massing, which maximizes usable space on each floor while allowing for clear views of the Manhattan skyline. This approach leads to distinct areas designed for different types of recreational activities. VERTI-PARK includes sports courts, a swimming pool, and an amphitheater, all contributing to a variety of options for community engagement.

Integration of Green Spaces

The project includes vertical green spaces that draw inspiration from existing pocket parks in the area. These landscaped zones enhance the building’s appeal and provide places for relaxation and leisure. The presence of green areas not only improves the overall atmosphere but also highlights a response to the urban setting, blending natural elements with the built environment.

Sustainability Measures

Although specific materials are not detailed, VERTI-PARK emphasizes sustainability through features like water and moisture harvesting systems. These elements reflect a commitment to reducing environmental impact, aligning with current trends in urban development. Such systems enhance the building's function while considering the surrounding ecosystem.

The rooftop café-bar offers expansive views of the city and invites social interaction, creating an engaging space for residents and visitors at the top of the building, where the urban experience meets moments of quiet and contemplation.
