5 key facts about this project
01
Rounded wall design enhances wine storage and exhibition Extensive glazing creates uninterrupted vineyard views Central wooden table inspired by vine branches promotes interaction Partially embedded structure references traditional wine cellars Minimalistic exhibition layout emphasizes bottle visibility.

The Monte d'Oiro Wine Tasting Room is situated within a vineyard and is designed to connect visitors with the natural surroundings. It serves as a dedicated space for wine tasting, enhancing the overall experience for guests. The design draws inspiration from the shapes of grapes, promoting a strong relationship between the building and its environment. Functionality and aesthetic appeal are blended throughout the structure to enrich the visitor experience.

Exhibition Design

A rounded wall next to the terrace entrances highlights the area for wine exhibitions. This design choice not only provides an eye-catching feature but also creates shaded spaces essential for proper wine storage. The layout adopts a straightforward and minimalistic approach, using repetitive circular shapes that attach perpendicularly to the wall. This arrangement places the wine bottles at the center of attention in the interior, making them easy to view and appreciate.

Natural Light Integration

Light is a key element in the design, with large areas of glazing allowing natural sunlight to fill the space. This feature enhances the interior's brightness while framing views of the vineyard. Visitors can be fully engaged with the landscape outside, as the glazing promotes a feeling of openness. The access to the terrace encourages guests to move freely, adding to the inviting atmosphere of the wine tasting experience.

Material Choices

Concrete and wood are the main materials utilized in this project. Concrete provides essential structural support for the expansive spaces, ensuring stability and durability. Wood adds warmth and a natural touch that complements the setting. Together, these materials help reinforce the connection to traditional winemaking while also presenting a contemporary feel that resonates with guests.

Central Design Element

A central table, inspired by the form of a vine branch shaped like the letter "V," plays an important role in the interior. This table fosters interaction among visitors, creating a space for conversation and shared experiences related to wine. Its thoughtful design enhances the overall cohesion of the environment, encouraging guests to enjoy their time while connecting with each other and appreciating the wine.
