The Quinta do Monte d'Oiro Wine Tasting Room is located within a picturesque vineyard, designed to enhance the experience of wine tasting and education. The concept behind the design centers on the themes of culture, wine, and landscape. Each aspect is carefully considered to create a space that celebrates the region's rich viticulture, allowing visitors to connect with the environment and the winemaking process.

Cultural aspects play a vital role in the design. The tasting room is not only a place to sample wines but also serves as a space that showcases the knowledge and traditions of winemaking. This focus on culture fosters an enriching experience for visitors, encouraging them to understand the blend of nature and human skill required for quality wine production.

The layout is designed to reflect the essence of wine, promoting areas for work, relaxation, and contemplation. Transparency is a key feature, allowing natural light to flow in and encouraging a connection with the outdoor surroundings. Visitors are drawn into the vineyard landscape, and the design emphasizes the beauty of this connection.

Materials used in the construction are thoughtfully selected to complement the overall design. Corten steel panels and traditional local stone are combined to create a balance between modern design and historical context. This choice not only strengthens the building but also highlights its place within the vineyard setting, contributing to a harmonious aesthetic.

A highlight of the design is the spacious terrace, which offers panoramic views of the landscape. This area extends the functions of the tasting room, allowing for outdoor activities and events. The open-air theater emerges naturally from the ground, establishing a space for gatherings, concerts, and more, thereby reinforcing the relationship between the architecture and the vineyard. A structural glass wall enhances the interaction with the environment, providing comfort and inviting visitors to experience the beauty of the surrounding landscape.
