## Overview

The Rome Concrete Poetry Hall is situated in Piazza Galeno, an area known for its vibrant urban context and historical significance. Designed to explore the themes of permanence and transience, the structure reflects both the city’s architectural heritage and contemporary design principles. The project aims to foster engagement and exploration, integrating the hall into its surroundings while creating a space that invites artistic expression and community interaction.

## Spatial Configuration and User Experience

The design comprises interconnected volumes that create versatile spaces tailored for various activities. Adaptive areas accommodate a range of uses, from solitary contemplation to group performances, encouraging dynamic engagements throughout the day. Strategic placement of walls not only defines spaces but also frames views of the bustling Piazza and local environment, enhancing visual connectivity and encouraging movement through the hall. Additionally, restful zones are incorporated, providing visitors with places to pause and interact, balancing leisure with the vibrant atmosphere of artistic activity.

## Material Utilization and Sustainability

Concrete serves as the primary material for its durability and design flexibility, while other materials like glass, steel, wood, and local stone contribute to the building's aesthetic and functional diversity. Glass elements facilitate transparency, enhancing the relationship between interior and exterior spaces. Steel provides structural integrity, supporting the modern design while wood offers warmth in select areas. The inclusion of local stone pays homage to Roman architectural traditions. This thoughtful material selection not only enriches the visual character of the hall but also supports its sustainability goals, demonstrating a commitment to environmentally responsible design throughout the project.
