The Monte D'Oiro - Room for Wine is situated in a beautiful vineyard, designed to enhance the experience of wine tasting in an outdoor setting. The design focuses on creating an open space that connects visitors with the vineyard and the winemaking process. This structure invites interaction with the natural surroundings, making each tasting a sensory journey.

Design Concept

The main feature is a dark wooden pavilion that resembles traditional wine barrels, lifting off the ground to create a distinct presence. Its simple design allows it to fit comfortably into the landscape without distracting from the beauty of the vineyard. This low-key structure helps keep the focus on both the act of tasting and the grapes growing nearby.

Materials and Aesthetics

A prominent element of the design is a white tablecloth that symbolizes gatherings centered around food and wine. This cloth moves gently in the wind, adding a lively touch to the atmosphere. Materials are carefully chosen to blend aesthetics and function. Charred wood, anodized aluminum, and glass work together to create a pleasing look that maintains durability and practicality in the outdoor setting.

Seasonal Adaptability

The pavilion is designed to handle different weather conditions with ease. Glass partitions can be adjusted as needed, allowing the space to remain comfortable throughout the year. These partitions can open the pavilion up to the outdoor environment or close it off when necessary. This flexibility makes the tasting space usable regardless of the season, maintaining an inviting atmosphere for guests.

Connection to Wine-Making

The design intentionally highlights the relationship between visitors and the vineyard’s winemaking process. By using natural materials, the structure fosters a deeper connection to the art of wine production. The charred wood, reminiscent of wine barrels, enhances the sensory experience of tasting by connecting the guests to the land and the rich tradition of winemaking.
