The Winery Guest Homes project is located in the beautiful Tuscan region, aiming to enhance the experience of visitors while connecting with the functions of a winery. The design seeks to create a sense of community through thoughtful spatial arrangement, blending architectural form with the natural surroundings. By prioritizing both private retreat and shared experiences, the concept reflects a sensitivity to the local culture and environment.

Concept and Functionality

Central to the design is the goal of fostering a sense of belonging among guests. A contextual wall defines the site, acting as both a boundary and a frame for the stunning views of the surrounding landscape. This element not only marks the edge of the property but also invites visitors to immerse themselves in the area's natural beauty.

Arrangement of Spaces

The guest houses are arranged along the perimeter in a way that encourages interaction among guests. This layout includes a central courtyard designed for social gatherings, featuring areas for campfires and seating. Pathways connect the guest houses, providing easy access while maintaining privacy. These spaces facilitate connections between individuals, nurturing a sense of community.

Integration with Winery Operations

The Central Winery Hub serves as a key component, carefully preserved and updated to support the winery’s operations. This hub not only aids in wine production but also acts as a gathering place for guests. The design emphasizes the relationship between hospitality and agriculture, enabling visitors to engage with the winemaking process directly.

Design Details

Each guest house fits within a larger narrative that values collective experience. The architectural style prioritizes clarity and simplicity, ensuring that each structure aligns with the contextual wall and courtyard. The design details create a unified visual identity that resonates with the surrounding landscape, enhancing the overall atmosphere of the winery. In this way, the spaces encourage a connection to both the land and the community.
