Located on the lakeshore, the Pape Bird Observation Tower is designed to enhance the ecological and social dynamics of the area. ### Materiality and Structural Composition
The material selection prioritizes both resilience and aesthetic integration with the landscape. Reinforced concrete forms the foundation, ensuring stability while establishing an earthbound connection. The upper levels utilize timber framing, promoting an organic visual character that softens the structure’s profile as it rises. Glass elements are strategically incorporated to enhance transparency, providing unobstructed views of the surrounding wetlands and fostering a sense of openness.

The structural design transforms from a solid cubic base to a prismatic form, symbolizing the ascent toward observation. A spiraled interior geometry leads to multiple viewing platforms, designed to provide expansive vistas of local wildlife.
