Project in-detail

01
Reused bricks from previous structures enhance sustainability and reduce construction waste.
02
The educational square is uniquely designed around rows of vines for a direct connection to viticulture.
03
Five guest houses feature intimate patios that promote relaxation and engagement with nature.
04

05
Central wine storage allows for an efficient and organized wine tasting experience.

The design project located near the center of Spello is set against a backdrop of agricultural fields and the nearby Subasio Mount. This landscape plays a significant role in shaping the overall concept, which focuses on sustainability and the responsible use of materials. The layout is carefully organized, integrating different functions while fostering a strong connection with the environment.

Wine Tasting Area

The first area is dedicated to wine tasting, featuring two kitchens and two tasting or dining rooms, with a central space for wine storage. This arrangement allows guests to engage deeply with the local wine culture. The design promotes an atmosphere where both individual enjoyment and group interaction can thrive, creating a welcoming environment for visitors.

Educational Square

Next to the tasting area is an educational square, designed around rows of vines. This space serves as a learning setting about viticulture while also offering a calming view of the surrounding landscape. It acts as a link between the active wine area and quieter spaces, encouraging reflection and appreciation of the natural surroundings. The rows of vines enhance the visual appeal and reinforce the connection to the agricultural context.

Guest House Area

The project also includes five guest houses, each thoughtfully designed to provide comfortable living spaces. Each house contains separate areas for day and night, with living spaces that open to outdoor patios. This layout fosters a sense of privacy while allowing residents to enjoy the outdoors. The careful arrangement supports tranquility and encourages a deeper connection with the landscape.

Through the use of reused bricks, the design highlights a commitment to sustainability that respects the local heritage. The materials contribute to the overall aesthetic, reinforcing the relationship between the built environment and the natural setting. This approach reflects a sensitivity to ecological and cultural contexts, resulting in spaces that resonate with both visitors and the landscape.
