The PORTA PARTY project presents an inventive rethinking of portable toilets within the lively context of Berlin's techno scene. Located in an urban area rich with cultural influences, the design emphasizes recycling and adaptability. Four portable restroom units are combined to create a multifunctional space that serves both practical needs and offers a platform for artistic expression.

Design Concept
The design incorporates two doors to improve ventilation and accessibility for users. An additional roof element provides extra airflow while indicating that these units serve a purpose beyond their traditional role. This configuration encourages exploration and interaction, reflecting the vibrant spirit of the surrounding environment.

Visual Identity
A black coating covers the exterior, aligning with the aesthetic trends of Berlin’s underground culture. This choice not only hides the functional aspects of the toilets but also offers a blank surface for street artists, inviting spontaneous artistic contributions that enrich the urban fabric.

Sound Management
To manage noise levels, the design includes sound insulation made from recycled cotton. This choice supports environmental sustainability while enhancing comfort for users inside the installation, ensuring a more pleasant experience amid the bustling city.

Lighting Solutions
The project integrates a lighting system that adapts to the atmosphere of nightlife and social gatherings in Berlin. This consideration ensures the space is inviting at any time, fostering a lively environment for both residents and visitors.

The PORTA PARTY concludes with a thoughtful design that balances utility with the potential for artistic engagement, marked by its creative approach to everyday urban features.
