The meditation cabin is located in a clearing surrounded by trees, designed as a space for self-reflection and mindfulness. The structure encourages visitors to engage with nature through its thoughtful layout and form. The idea is to provide an inviting environment that supports both individual meditation and group gatherings, all while connecting people to the natural world around them.

Architectural Concept

A winding path leads to the cabin, illustrating the journey through the forest. Visitors walk along varied surfaces, moving from grassy patches to paved areas, which helps them experience the beauty of the landscape. The building itself features a central open area and has a unique, curved shape. This allows for round walls and openings that showcase views of the forest, blending the interior with the outside.

Design Features

Inside, the cabin includes eight arches that serve as altars for personal items such as candles or flowers. These arches give visitors the choice to personalize their meditation experience. Some can meditate alone, while others can gather in groups. This layout creates a sense of community and individual focus, making the space versatile for different practices.

Materiality and Structure

The cabin is constructed from 32 parts of bent bamboo, which align the building with its forest environment. This choice of material is significant because it connects to local traditions and enhances the building's flexibility. The upper part of the pavilion forms a star shape from eight bamboo sections, while the lower star anchors it to the ground. This structure ensures stability while maintaining an organic feel.

Illumination and Atmosphere

The walls of the cabin are made from a switched-off fabric that softly diffuses light throughout the space. This material is layered from natural bamboo fiber, giving it additional strength and durability. The resin treatment makes it water-resistant while allowing light to filter in gently. The result is a calm atmosphere, ideal for contemplation and relaxation.

The architecture encourages reflection and connection with nature. Visitors can enjoy a tranquil experience where the design and environment come together, creating a peaceful setting for meditation.
