Bended Steel and Operable Walls Enhance Vineyard Views

Project in-detail

Operable walls and a central fireplace seamlessly connect the interior to the vineyard views, while the use of bended steel contributes to a flexible space designed for comfort throughout the seasons.
5 key facts about this project
01
Operable walls allow for dynamic spatial configurations throughout the year.
02
The central fireplace serves as a focal point in the interior layout.
03
High ceilings promote natural airflow and enhance thermal comfort.
04
Large windows provide unobstructed views across the vineyard landscape.
05
Bended steel is used in furniture design, integrating aesthetics and functionality.

The design integrates indoor and outdoor spaces in a location rich with natural beauty. The concept centers on providing wide views of the surrounding landscape, enhancing the user experience by creating a strong connection to nature. This approach reflects a commitment to both aesthetic appeal and practical function, addressing the needs of occupants while inviting the landscape into daily life.

Large Operable Windows

Wide operable windows play a crucial role in the design. When open, they bring fresh air into the space and allow in natural light. In the summer, these windows can be fully opened to create a comfortable environment. The large roof structure provides shade, keeping the heat at bay. During winter and fall, these windows can remain closed, letting the fireplace at the center of the room provide warmth and a cozy atmosphere.

Flexible Spatial Configuration

Movable wall systems are an important feature, allowing for a flexible layout that can adapt to various uses. Long railings along the south and north sides enable walls to shift and create different spatial arrangements. Additionally, a revolving window on the west side increases the interaction with the outside, further enhancing the functionality of the space.

Heightened Ceiling Design

The project includes a ceiling that is higher than average, benefiting air circulation and thermal comfort. This feature helps to maximize natural breezes, especially during warmer months. The elevated ceiling also adds to the spacious feeling within, ensuring that the interior feels open and inviting. It is a thoughtful detail that contributes to the overall living experience.

Material Choices

Specific materials are chosen for their functionality and appearance. Steel plates are used for the fireplace, and bended steel is employed in the furniture design, such as tables and seating. These material selections reflect a focus on both durability and visual quality. The fireplace serves as a central gathering point, enhancing the comfort of the space while tying in with the overall design aesthetic.

The combination of large windows, adaptable walls, and a central fireplace influences how the space feels and functions. This thoughtful arrangement creates a living environment that fosters a continuous connection with the natural landscape, allowing users to enjoy both comfort and beauty in their daily lives.
