MEMBOO is a meditation cabin located in a busy metropolitan area, designed to offer people a quiet space away from the noise of city life. Its purpose is to support mental well-being by providing a retreat where individuals can relax, reflect, and heal. The design focuses on addressing common issues such as stress and anxiety, making it a suitable spot for introspection in a bustling environment.

Structural Design

The cabin features a unique combination of open and closed spaces. This design approach balances the need for privacy with a sense of connection to the outdoors. It creates a comfortable environment for users who seek tranquility. By encouraging such a calming atmosphere, the cabin becomes a conducive place for meditation and personal reflection.

Materials and Sustainability

Bamboo sticks form the main structure of the cabin, chosen for their lightweight properties and sustainable nature. Using bamboo highlights an awareness of environmental impact, allowing users to feel connected to nature. The structure is surrounded by recycled wool, along with a waterproof membrane that protects it from the elements while also emphasizing ecological responsibility.

Functional Interior

Inside the cabin, wood panels and tatami flooring are utilized to enhance practicality and comfort. These materials contribute to the idea of transportability, allowing the cabin to adapt to various needs. There is a toilet positioned at the back for convenience, as well as a folding table for items such as incense and mats. This thoughtful arrangement aligns with the main goal of creating a peaceful refuge.

The design culminates in a harmonious environment that encourages relaxation and personal growth, effectively addressing the growing need for mental health spaces in urban settings.
