The Tree Observation Tower is designed to blend into its natural environment. It is located in a nature reserve, where it allows visitors to observe and connect with the landscape. The design focuses on sustainability and accessibility while taking inspiration from the shape of a tree, which influences both its appearance and function.

Architectural Concept

The design creates a connection with nature through a simple and modern style. By mimicking the form of a tree, it encourages people to engage with the environment around them. Accessibility is an important aspect of the design. Ramps at all entrances make it easy for individuals with disabilities to navigate the structure.

Materials and Construction

Materials chosen for construction reflect an environmentally conscious approach. Wood serves as the main building material, while bamboo is used for elements like columns, railings, and flooring. Timber supports both the observation tower and the boardwalk. These materials are durable and require little maintenance, which helps achieve the project’s sustainability goals.

Boardwalk Design

Linking the observation tower to the landscape, the boardwalk features a minimal design that also uses natural materials. It enhances the visitor experience, inviting people to explore the natural surroundings. Openings in the roof and sides permit airflow, adding comfort for visitors while offering glimpses of the environment. This careful detailing strengthens the connection between the tower and its landscape.

The observation tower stands tall against the sky, with natural light casting interesting shadows that change throughout the day. The design encourages a sense of peace, inviting visitors to pause and reflect on the beauty of nature.
