Design a sustainable food court structure for the heart of a classical music festival

We’d like to take the opportunity to introduce you to one of our Honorable mention winner for our "Timber Pavilion" competition – Predrag Vujanovic from Sweden!
Predrag Vujanovic from Sweden
Studied architecture at the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad, Serbia, where I got my bachelors and masters degree. Seven years ago I moved to Sweden where I have been working in several different offices.
In my spare time I try to keep myself occupied with different concepts and competition projects that are of a somewhat smaller scale. Professionally, I'm working on various projects based in the town of Kiruna, northern Sweden, that is undergoing an extensive process of relocation. Projects range from a large education center to several residential blocks.
Architecture is a beautiful but complex amalgamation of several fields that in modern day and age require architects to further expand their knowledge, like never before, in order to build a more sustainable future.
It became a fun and educational extracurricular activity ever since my student days when I, with a group of colleagues, entered our first big competition and won the third prize.
Quite simply, architecture competitions are the best test ground for new ideas and an exercise for elevating your skills and creative thinking.
