Please tell us about your company (when it was founded, where it is based, how many employees, etc) Alternatively, if you do not have a company, please give us some insights on your own professional/academia background.
I am a furniture designer based in Copenhagen, currently completing my academic journey at Royal Danish Academy and excited to start my own studio. I got my bachelor's degree in Northern Germany and spent an exchange year in Vienna. Along the way I have gained some work experience in Stockholm and am currently working on some projects together with Danish furniture companies. My design process is very hands-on and I develop my projects by going into the workshop to test out new ideas.
Brief information about the projects that you/your company have been involved with. For instance, what scale have you focused on/preferred, any significant projects where the company/ individuals have been Involved?
My work focuses on furniture design, with a particular passion for chairs. I enjoy exploring the intersection of furniture and spatial scale, creating objects that engage with their surroundings. My projects emphasise craftsmanship, material exploration and the physical act of making, ensuring that each design is both functional and meaningful.
What does architecture mean to you and what is the role of an architect in your society?
For me, architecture and design are about creating a connection between people, objects, and space. As a furniture designer, I focus on creating objects that have character and interact with their surroundings. I believe designers and architects have a responsibility to shape the future by making conscious material choices and designing objects and spaces that last – both aesthetically and functionally.
