As a promising young architects, we are interested in searching for emergence moments, regardless of scale and program. His recent projects involve research into Robotic Artistry and Form-Finding based on Bending-active system. What does architecture mean to you and what is the role of an architect in your society?

Sung Jin Lee : Architecture is a medium. It is both a means to fulfill human purpose and a system for building relationships. As a medium, it functions not only as an object or artifact, but also as a complex living organism that breathes and interacts among us. Woo Sop Yi : To him, architecture is like love. Love is not solely about positive emotions or harmonyit involves enduring trials, facing pain, and embracing challenges within relationships. Only by persevering through these experiences together can we achieve something meaningful. I believe architecture is the same. Ji Sun Woo : To her, architecture is like the main quest in a well-designed game. Just as a main quest drives the narrative and guides the player's growth, architecture serves as the central mission of my life—a continuous journey of exploration. Ji Sun Woo believes architects are the players of this journey, designing the spaces between society, the environment, and people.

Why do you participate in architecture competitions?

Participating in architectural competitions is both a means and a turning point for OUR growth beyond who we are today. By engaging with the insights of promising architects from around the world, we seek to challenge myself and push our work to the next level through these diverse competitions.

What advice would you give to individuals who struggle to decide whether it would be beneficial for them to participate in architecture competitions?

We believe there's nothing to lose in trying. The opposite of success isn't failure—it's not trying at all. We hope people won't fear beginnings, endings, or the many challenges in between. Even if you fail ten times and succeed only once, the journey itself is still worthwhile. Without challenge, there is no success. Instead of just thinking, take action— good results will follow. And the struggles and efforts along the way will eventually become your greatest assets.
