Please tell us about your company (when it was founded, where it is based, how many employees, etc) Alternatively, if you do not have a company, please give us some insights on your own professional/academia background.
Currently, I am completing my Master’s degree in Design at the Faculty of Arts, Technical University of Košice, where I specialize in Spatial Design. I also spent a semester at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice, which significantly influenced and reshaped my creative approach. Alongside my studies, I create 3D visualizations for interior design studios and companies, as well as promotional graphics.
Brief information about the projects that you/your company have been involved with. For instance, what scale have you focused on/preferred, any significant projects where the company/ individuals have been Involved?
As a spatial designer rather than an architect, my work primarily focuses on smaller-scale projects. I collaborate visually with local design studios on private interiors and compact public spaces, contributing through 3D visualizations and spatial representation. In my personal and academic projects, I emphasize conceptual approaches and explore fictional scales.
What does architecture mean to you and what is the role of an architect in your society?
Architecture provides the physical framework in which we are born, live, grow, and ultimately end our lives, shaping the way we experience each stage. An architect’s role is to design these spaces to nurture those experiences.
Why do you participate in architecture competitions?
This being my first architectural competition, it has truly inspired me to participate in more competitions in the future. I find the spirit of competition highly motivating, and engaging in a global context is certainly valuable.
What advice would you give to individuals who struggle to decide whether it would be beneficial for them to participate in architecture competitions?
I would say: just give it a try, experience it firsthand, and see for yourself. Participation is the best way to understand how rewarding it can be.
