Please tell us about your company (when it was founded, where it is based, how many employees, etc) Alternatively, if you do not have a company, please give us some insights on your own professional/academia background.

We are not yet a formally established company, but rather three friends who met during our first year of Architecture studies in Madrid. Now in our final year, we believe it's the ideal time to collaborate and apply the knowledge we've gained over the years. Competitions seemed like the perfect challenge for us to test our skills. Our team comprises three motivated individuals who felt it was crucial to gain insight into the industry and the "real world": working collaboratively, learning about contests, and creating projects for ourselves!

Brief information about the projects that you/your company have been involved with. For instance, what scale have you focused on/preferred, any significant projects where the company/ individuals have been Involved?

While we have individually developed many projects for our studies on different scales, this was our first time working together as a team. It allowed us to apply all the knowledge we've gained, share our perspectives, and learn from each other!

What does architecture mean to you and what is the role of an architect in your society?

Architecture, to us, is more than just buildings. As future architects, we recognize the vital role we play and will continue to play in society. The social, political, and economic context of the world, including architecture, is constantly evolving, and we must adapt, considering the climate and social crises we face. Therefore, when designing, we prioritize envisioning the spaces and environments we desire and strive to translate them into something meaningful.

Why do you participate in architecture competitions?

Participating in architecture competitions allows us to challenge ourselves and observe our group dynamic with a project beyond university settings. It is a means for us to test our abilities and push our boundaries.

What advice would you give to individuals who struggle to decide whether it would be beneficial for them to participate in architecture competitions?

The best advice we could offer is not to be deterred by failure and to give it a try at least once. We encourage everyone to seize the opportunity to participate because there is much to learn from it. If you give it a chance, you may find that you truly enjoy the process, just as we have.
