What does architecture mean to you and what is the role of an architect in your society?
Architecture is the way we speak to the world without words. It’s a narrative that weaves together the past, present, and future of a place. It is a kind of poem, grounding fleeting moments in materials that we can touch, walk through, and return to. As architects, we shape stories that live on in the physical world, offering meaning, shelter, and connection to those who move through them.
Why do you participate in architecture competitions?
Architecture competitions provide a unique platform to explore unconventional ideas and tackle design challenges beyond our everyday practice. They offer the freedom to dream big with fewer constraints and the chance to engage with new perspectives. For us, competitions are an opportunity to experiment, grow creatively, and contribute to global conversations in design.
What advice would you give to individuals who struggle to decide whether it would be beneficial for them to participate in architecture competitions?
Participating in architecture competitions is a valuable learning experience. It offers a chance to sharpen your design thinking, refine your narrative approach, and improve your visual communication skills.
