Please tell us about your company (when it was founded, where it is based, how many employees, etc) Alternatively, if you do not have a company, please give us some insights on your own professional/academia background.
I graduated in 2023 from the Architecture program at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm. After completing my studies, I spent a year working at an architecture studio in Palma de Mallorca, where I was involved in retail projects as well as the design of beautiful private villas across the island. Today, I am based in Stockholm, working at an architecture firm that is one of the leading offices in Sweden specializing in multi-family housing.
Brief information about the projects that you/your company have been involved with. For instance, what scale have you focused on/preferred, any significant projects where the company/ individuals have been Involved?
I have been involved in projects of all scales and stages – from urban planning and architecture to interior design. My experience spans from concept development to construction documentation.
What does architecture mean to you and what is the role of an architect in your society?
I believe that those who shape our societies also help shape the people within them. Through architecture, we can influence behavior – and in doing so, impact well-being. This means we hold significant power, and it is our responsibility to use it to create a better, more empathetic, and sustainable world.
Why do you participate in architecture competitions?
I take part in architectural competitions because I love challenging myself. What I enjoy most is the opportunity to work on topics that are close to my heart—to explore architecture that feels meaningful. Competitions give me the freedom to let my creativity flow without being held back by regulations or conventions.
What advice would you give to individuals who struggle to decide whether it would be beneficial for them to participate in architecture competitions?
Joining a competition is a powerful way to challenge yourself, reconnect with your creativity, and explore the kind of architecture that truly moves you. It’s easy to lose that spark after school, but competitions remind us that architecture is not just about rules and deadlines it’s about ideas, emotions, and the kind of world we want to create.
