The design located in Latvia serves as a family residence that creates a strong link between the living space and the natural surroundings. The concept centers around a harmonious relationship between inside and outside, supporting both daily life and enjoyment of the landscape. Drawing inspiration from the terrain, the design emphasizes an organized layout that enhances the experience of living in this setting.

Spatial Organization

The interior layout is carefully planned to align with the contours of the land. Specific areas for family interactions, dining, and social gatherings are designed to flow together naturally. This arrangement promotes an inviting atmosphere and allows light to enter freely, making the spaces feel more connected. Each section of the home is thoughtfully placed to create a unified experience for the inhabitants.

Materiality

Materials play a key role in the project’s overall approach. Wood and concrete are used to provide both strength and visual warmth. These choices help the residence blend with its surroundings while ensuring durability. The selection of materials is mindful of environmental impact, supporting the goal of building responsibly. The residence fits well within its natural context, reinforcing a focus on sustainability within architecture.

Architectural Expression

A minimalist focus is evident throughout the design, allowing for clear lines and a calming feel. This simplicity encourages a peaceful atmosphere, which is important for a family home. Light interacts with the architecture, creating interesting effects that enhance the living areas.

The overall form of the house follows the natural landscape, highlighting the unique characteristics of the environment. Each aspect of the design works together to create a home that is both functional and visually appealing, inviting residents to engage with the beauty of nature.
