## Project Overview

Located in a nurturing environment, the guesthouse "Olive You So Much" is designed to celebrate the cultural significance of olive oil as a medium for connection and well-being. The intent of the design is to offer a restorative space that encourages communal interactions and provides a range of immersive experiences that highlight the traditions surrounding olive oil. The layout thoughtfully integrates various functional areas to enhance guest engagement with both the environment and the culinary heritage of the region.

### Spatial Strategy and Functionality

The guesthouse features distinct areas tailored for diverse activities: the dining and community space promotes interactive culinary experiences, fostering connections among guests as they share and prepare meals centered around olive oil. Specialized experience areas, including tasting rooms and exhibition spaces, are dedicated to educational activities that enhance sensory understanding of olive oil. Additionally, designated rest areas, incorporating meditation spaces and guest accommodations, prioritize tranquility and recovery.

### Materiality and Environmental Considerations

The architectural design employs locally sourced and eco-friendly materials, reinforcing a commitment to sustainability. Roof materials are chosen for energy efficiency, reflecting heat and reducing temperature fluctuations. Large windows are integrated strategically to facilitate natural light, enhancing indoor environments while minimizing the building's carbon footprint. Additionally, insulated walls constructed from renewable resources ensure durable comfort and maintain climate control throughout the space, aligning with contemporary sustainable building practices.
