Luise Marter collaborates with KWY studio in Lisbon, Portugal where she works on multidisciplinary projects at a variety of scales. Born in Germany, she studied architecture at the UDK in Berlin from 2009 to 2016 where she also worked as a student assistant at the department of Digital and Experimental Design. Luise worked at KWY in Berlin and Lisbon from 2014 to 2016 and in Basel at Christ & Gantenbein, from 2016 to 2018. She values work born from collaboration and process-driven methodology in practice.
Liwei Shen, ASLA, LEED AP, is a landscape designer at SASAKI. She received a Master of Landscape Architecture degree with distinction from the Harvard Graduate School of Design and a Bachelor of Architecture degree with distinction from Huazhong University of Science and Technology. As the 2022 LAF Olmsted Scholar from Harvard University, Liwei believes that landscape architecture should address global dynamics and risks while maintaining precision in local cultural representation. Her research focuses on the potential of design to contribute to climate and environmental justice, advocating for new forms of resource and power distribution. Liwei's accolades include the LA+ EXOTIQUE First Prize, the GSD Graduate Thesis Prize, the Peter Walker Fellowship, the Boston Society of Landscape Architecture Excellence Award, and the World Landscape Architecture Student Merit Award. Her work has been presented at the American Society of Landscape Architects 2023 Annual Conference and the Boston Society of Landscape Architecture 2022 Summit. Additionally, she has served as a jury member for the Boston Society of Landscape Architecture 2023 Awards and the TerraViva International Architecture Competition, as well as a peer reviewer for the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture International Conference in 2024. Liwei's writings have been published in the Ecological Restoration Journal and on the World Landscape Architecture website. At SASAKI, Liwei plays a significant role in campus planning and public landscape design. Her expertise includes geological and hydrological analysis, planning framework design, stormwater management system design, and grading strategies for accessibility in complex topography. Her proficiency has been demonstrated through projects such as the UC Berkeley Accessible Paths and Places Master Plan, which received the SCUP 2024 Jury’s Choice Award, as well as the Texas Christian University Campus Master Plan, the UT Austin East Mall and Precursors Commemorations, and the Boston City Hall Plaza, among others. Her practice is committed to innovation and sustainability in public and institutional realms.
Nuno Pimenta runs a transdisciplinary practice in Porto, with a portfolio that spans temporary architecture, installation, public art, exhibition design and performance. His work focuses on the appropriation and subversion of common construction elements and techniques for the creation of social and political narratives.
Harrison Stallan is an architect at the Office for Metropolitan Architecture (OMA) in Rotterdam, Netherlands. He is currently working on public projects across the globe that aim to push the boundaries of architecture and design. With a diverse portfolio spanning Australia, Europe, and Asia, his expertise ranges from large-scale urban masterplans to intricately detailed spaces. Harrison’s design philosophy integrates innovation with environmental consciousness, enabling him to approach design challenges holistically. As a juror in this competition, he brings a wealth of knowledge and a passion for advancing design excellence.
Sean Shen is a lead architect at Shanghai-based ZJJZ Atelier. ZJJZ’s projects have garnered numerous recognition, such as its Woodhouse Hotel being listed as one of the top 10 Chinese architecture projects by Dezeen in 2019.
Tiago Krusse is a professional journalist with more than 22 years of experience writing about design, architecture and art. He is Manager of the K Innovative Diffuser a digital media group that holds the publications Design Magazine, Design Magazine Brasil and architectura MAGAZINE.
Chengzhe (Cy) Zhang, ASLA, LEED AP ND is a landscape and urban designer at Sasaki Associates with over eight years of experience specializing in sustainable design, urban revitalization, and infrastructure reuse, with notable projects in Athens, Greece, Madison, Wisconsin, and Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He holds dual master’s degrees in Landscape Architecture and Urban Design from the Harvard Graduate School of Design and a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture with Distinction from Tunghai University in Taiwan, equipping him with a robust foundation in interdisciplinary design approaches. His portfolio includes the internationally acclaimed Ellinikon Metropolitan Park in Athens, Europe’s largest urban park, which transformed a former airport into a sustainable public space and garnered prestigious awards, including the ASLA National Honor Award in Analysis and Planning, the World Architecture Festival Award in the Carbon, Climate & Energy category, and the ASLA Colorado Chapter President’s Award of Excellence. As the Lead Designer for the “Reimagining Brooklyn Bridge” design competition, his visionary proposal earned recognition as a top-three finalist among 250 international entries, highlighting his creativity in transforming infrastructure into vibrant public spaces. Chengzhe’s innovative work has been honored with the IDA 2024 Gold Award and the Muse Design Award Gold Winner in 2025, while his early career accolades, including the 2018 ASLA Student Honor Award, reflect his longstanding commitment to design excellence. Grounded in sustainability and community-focused design, his practice continues to advance equitable urban development and ecological restoration.
