The project features a collection of cabins situated in a meadow in Latvia. Each cabin is designed to encourage interaction with the natural surroundings, representing themes such as reading, relaxation, fruit and vegetable picking, winemaking, and exploration. The layout includes essential elements like parking, reception areas, and shared spaces, fostering a sense of community while allowing for individual activities.

Design Concept

Each cabin embodies qualities associated with different roles. This narrative enhances the visitor experience by providing places that align with personal interests. The arrangement of the cabins incorporates both circular and linear forms, connecting these spaces and highlighting the relationships among the various activities available in the area.

Natural Integration

Water from the Wenta River is an important feature of the site, guiding movement and enhancing the overall experience. The gentle flow creates pathways for visitors, inviting them to explore various areas. A main road leads gradually toward the river, revealing the surrounding beauty and creating a sense of discovery.

Structural Approach

The design breaks down traditional building elements like bathrooms and kitchens to create an integrated model that combines different volumes. This strategy allows for flexible cabin designs with sizes around 20 square meters, responding to the site's natural landscape. Each cabin showcases varied elevations, effectively utilizing light and spatial connections to support the overall architectural vision.

Cabin Details

Each cabin has distinct features. The Thinker's Cabin offers orientations that welcome natural light and scenic views. The Cabin of the Devotee is positioned to provide a peaceful experience overlooking the picking garden. The Cabin for the Cozy encourages shared experiences, featuring an outdoor theater and a sunken meadow. These elements work together to provide an engaging environment that invites visitors to interact with both the cabins and the landscape.
