The Vineyard Frame House is located in a beautiful Portuguese village, surrounded by green vineyards and low buildings that contribute to a tranquil atmosphere. It is designed to encourage social activities, especially focused on wine tasting, while maintaining a strong connection to the natural setting. The concept emphasizes a strong use of natural light and creates spaces that invite visitors to interact with the outdoors, making the most of their vineyard surroundings.

Design Layout

The layout of the Vineyard Frame House is carefully planned to serve different group sizes. There are specific areas for both large gatherings and smaller meetings. This organization promotes socializing, especially in spaces set up for wine tasting events. The arrangements can be adjusted to suit various needs, creating an environment that supports both communal experiences and private moments.

Natural Light and Views

Large windows play a vital role in the design, bringing in plenty of natural light and allowing for good air circulation. These windows act like frames that connect the inside of the house with the scenic views outside. This design feature enhances the experience of being in the vineyard. A roof with additional windows enables light to fill the space, contributing to a bright and welcoming atmosphere.

Privacy and Intimacy

The design includes a private room located on the west side of the house, intended for smaller gatherings of up to eight people. This room offers a more intimate setting for family and friends to enjoy wine together. A fireplace adds warmth to the environment, creating a cozy feel that encourages comfortable conversations and personal connections.

Material Selection

The house uses materials such as terracotta, rubble stone, cobblestone, and wood, all carefully chosen to connect with the local architectural style and landscape. These materials not only provide a pleasing aesthetic but also ensure durability, contributing to a design that feels sturdy and enduring.

The overall design highlights the relationship between the structure and its vineyard surroundings, blending contemporary elements with traditional aspects. It encourages people to appreciate the beauty of the landscape while enjoying social moments shared over fine wine.
