The Monte D'Oiro Wine Hotel is located in the scenic hills of Lisbon, Portugal. It aims to immerse guests in the local lifestyle and wine culture. The design focuses on creating a welcoming space where visitors can enjoy wine tastings, local dishes, and cultural programs. By combining relaxation with educational experiences, the hotel offers a distinctive retreat that highlights the beauty of its vineyard surroundings.

Architectural Form
The design features simple geometric shapes, mainly parallel and rectangular forms that emphasize clarity. These structures have a light appearance, allowing them to blend well with the rolling landscape. Large windows are strategically placed to provide sweeping views of the vineyards, enhancing the connection between the indoors and nature. The layout considers sightlines carefully, ensuring that each space maximizes the enjoyable experience for guests.

Material Choices
Materials for the Monte D'Oiro Wine Hotel include white paint, stone, and wood. The white paint on the exterior contributes to a clean and straightforward look, helping the buildings reflect light effectively. Stone is used to connect the architecture with local traditions; it offers sturdiness and a textural quality that resonates with the area. Wood elements add warmth and comfort, creating a welcoming atmosphere throughout the hotel.

Sustainable Features
Sustainability plays an important role in the hotel's design. Energy-efficient systems are included to lessen environmental impact. Solar panels provide renewable energy, while a rainwater collection system supports water reuse. The use of solar-powered street lighting enhances the overall efficiency of the hotel. Green roofs not only help with insulation but also promote biodiversity, making the project more eco-friendly and visually appealing.

Interior Spaces
The interior layout is designed to support various guest activities while maintaining functionality. Features include a spa, gym, and indoor pool, offering relaxation options for visitors. There are dedicated spaces for children and flexible meeting rooms for business needs. Outdoor spaces, including pools and terraces, encourage guests to appreciate the beautiful views surrounding the hotel. A focal point of the design is the amphitheater, which hosts cultural events and performances, drawing the local community into the hotel's vibrant atmosphere.

The Monte D'Oiro Wine Hotel combines thoughtful design with practicality. Every element is considered to create an inviting space that showcases the region's culture while connecting guests with their surroundings.
