Sydney Affordable Housing is a modular housing design aimed at providing affordable living options in various settings, from city centers to rural landscapes. Covering an area of 380 square feet, the home features efficient use of space while incorporating essential living areas. The design concept focuses on flexibility and practicality, ensuring that it meets the demands of modern housing.

Modular Design

The interior layout consists of important spaces such as a bedroom, kitchen, living room, and restroom. Each area is clearly defined, allowing for a smooth flow of movement throughout the home. Natural light plays a vital role in enhancing the living experience, creating an open and comfortable environment conducive to daily life.

Materiality

Materials are selected with purpose. The wooden flooring adds warmth and a natural element, making the space feel inviting. A wooden ceiling complements this atmosphere, reinforcing the overall design. Walls are treated with paint, which brightens the interior and reflects light effectively. The exterior features raw concrete, providing a sturdy and minimalist facade that blends well with various surroundings.

Construction and Adaptability

With an emphasis on efficiency, the design utilizes prefabricated elements that allow for quick assembly on site, taking as little as three days to complete. This method streamlines the building process and enables relocation if necessary. Additional prefabricated panels can be added to the structure, making it adaptable to different housing requirements and accommodating various family sizes.

Outdoor Integration

An important aspect of the design includes outdoor seating, enabling an extension of the living space into nature. This feature encourages outdoor activities and provides residents with a space to relax outside the home. The thoughtful integration of outdoor areas ensures that the environment becomes an extension of daily life, fostering a connection with the natural setting surrounding the house.
