5 key facts about this project
The design is situated near Seonyudo Park and explores themes related to life, death, and human connections. It integrates with the natural surroundings to create environments that support emotional well-being and reflection. Each space is purposefully arranged to guide visitors through a contemplative experience, balancing moments of solitude with opportunities for shared interaction.
Meditation and Therapy Spaces
At the core of the design is a meditation area characterized by stillness and a halted water flow, providing a tranquil setting for personal reflection. Adjacent to this is a combined therapy and library space, which offers a quiet environment for both individual therapy sessions and leisure reading. This area connects to guest rooms, allowing for privacy while fostering community support.
Communal and Transitional Areas
The common living room and dining area serve as social hubs where guests can gather, share experiences, and build a sense of belonging. The dining space also accommodates memorial events, supporting communal nourishment and conversation. The passing room is designed to offer a calm and dignified atmosphere for individuals and families during final moments, emphasizing emotional safety within a natural context. The overall spatial organization reflects a thoughtful balance between privacy, communal engagement, and connection to nature.
