Telhado is located in Oleiros, a region that received 757mm of rainfall during the year 2018-2019. The design focuses on water management, emphasizing the collection, guidance, and storage of this resource within the structure. By addressing rainfall, the design aims to fit naturally within its surroundings while providing spaces that cater to both community and individual needs.

Design Integration

The building’s design employs a modular approach that adapts to the surrounding landscape. Its main features are horizontal surfaces, including both the roof and floor, which help reduce visual disruption. The roof serves a dual function, protecting the interior while also allowing for the installation of solar panels. Water Management

A significant feature of the design is a gutter system that collects rainwater from the roof and channels it into a reservoir located at the base. This reservoir is essential for managing water resources, ensuring that an adjacent garden receives sufficient supplies.
