5 key facts about this project
The project offers a unique blend of meditation and sustainable living within a compact cabin. Designed to provide both a space for mindfulness practices and a place for daily activities, the cabin integrates core principles such as motivation, emotion regulation, and nervous system balance. The design encourages a connection between the user and their environment, fostering a lifestyle focused on well-being.
Design Concept
Creating a meditative space is at the heart of the design. Areas for meditation are thoughtfully arranged to connect with functional living spaces, including sleeping, bathing, and storage areas. This layout ensures a flow that supports mindfulness throughout everyday tasks. The intention is to show that meditation can be part of daily life, enriching the user’s experience.
Energy Sustainability
The cabin uses a Powerwall to build energy independence. This system collects excess energy from solar panels, allowing the cabin to operate without relying on traditional energy sources. This design choice underlines a commitment to a sustainable lifestyle. By minimizing dependence on external energy, the cabin promotes environmentally friendly living, making energy efficiency a key aspect of the overall architecture.
Material Considerations
Materials are carefully selected to enhance the cabin’s atmosphere. Various sizes of wood are primarily used, including dimensions of 12 x 6 cm and 18 x 20 cm. These choices bring warmth to the space and reflect its meditative purpose. The project also incorporates thermal insulation materials with a thickness of 10 cm, alongside hydro isolation and waterproofing features. Together, these elements ensure that the cabin remains durable and energy-efficient.
The careful use of wood creates a tranquil environment that invites contemplation. Each design component works together to support both the meditative and practical aspects of living. This results in a cabin that is well-suited for nurturing a balanced lifestyle, seamlessly integrating mindfulness into everyday routines.
