5 key facts about this project
The Quinta do Monte d'Oiro Wine Hotel is located within a vineyard area, designed to enhance the existing complex that centers on wine production. It offers a space where guests can relax and connect with the natural landscape. The design emphasizes an integration with the environment, creating a sense of peace and immersion in the rolling hills of the vineyard.
Design Integration
The architecture uses alignment with existing structures to create smooth transitions throughout the hotel. Guests arrive at spacious terraces that promote a friendly atmosphere. The outdoor stairs lead down toward the vineyard, allowing visitors to feel the connection to the land right from the beginning of their stay.
Accommodation and Spatial Organization
Comprising 44 guest rooms, the hotel includes Standard, Suites, and Family rooms, each designed with loggias that offer views of the vineyard. Suites are thoughtfully positioned for optimal vistas, while Family rooms are easily accessible on the ground floor. This layout ensures comfort for all guests and allows them to enjoy the natural surroundings.
Public and Private Facilities
The reception area plays a crucial role in connecting guests to various amenities. From here, visitors can move easily to dining and leisure spaces. The restaurant is located on the east side, featuring an overhanging structure supported by V-shaped columns. This design choice allows for beautiful views and provides an outdoor terrace suitable for larger gatherings, accommodating both intimate dinners and group events.
Wellness and Leisure Spaces
The wellness features of the hotel focus on comfort and relaxation. An elevated main swimming pool has an infinity edge, creating a tranquil setting. In addition, an indoor pool is accessible for all guests. The sloping wellness terraces provide attractive areas for relaxation, while lower levels include a children’s pool and playground, shaded by vine-covered pergolas. These spaces are designed to ensure family-friendly enjoyment throughout the hotel.
Natural Materials and Sustainability
The design employs a combination of white plaster on the ground floor and beige natural stones for the lower portions, forming a stable base for the overall structure. Timber elements add warmth to the interiors, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Furthermore, the inclusion of a green roof enhances the local climate and supports rainwater collection, reflecting a commitment to sustainability and the relationship with nature.
