The new virtual museum dedicated to equine life finds its home in Latvia, near the wild horse sanctuary at Lake Pape. This museum serves as an engaging learning space, inviting visitors to explore the role of horses in Latvian culture. The design aims to connect technology with the natural surroundings, offering interactive experiences that shed light on the lives of horses and their significance.

Design Concept

The approach focuses on creating an environment that fosters connections between people and horses. The museum hall sits on the ground floor, designed to provide wide views of the beautiful landscape outside. Large windows blur the lines between the inside and the outside, allowing the natural scenery to enhance the visitor experience.

Holographic Technology

One notable feature of the museum is the use of holographic technology in the windows. These projections create the illusion of a horse show happening outside. This creative use of technology means that the themes can change with the seasons, offering something new each time visitors return. It encourages interaction and keeps the experience engaging, providing a compelling way to connect with the museum's themes.

Community Engagement

Spaces within the museum are designed to accommodate a variety of activities, including workshops and exhibitions. This versatility supports community involvement, especially with local schools. The layout prioritizes accessibility, making sure people of all backgrounds can visit and learn. This focus on community interaction strengthens the museum's role as an educational resource.

The design narrative highlights the importance of horses in local culture. By combining technology with the beauty of the natural landscape, the museum creates a setting that engages visitors. Spaces are crafted to offer both learning opportunities and an appreciation for the tranquility of the nearby environment.
