The HFW 5G Towers provide a response to the changing nature of urban living. Located in an evolving city context, the development focuses on blending residential and commercial spaces. This design addresses the needs of a population that is increasingly adopting work-from-home lifestyles. With a focus on technology, the towers aim to create a living environment that supports both personal and professional activities.

Spatial Organization

The layout features a variety of apartment types, from studios to larger four-bedroom units. This range accommodates different lifestyles and family sizes. Some apartments do not include traditional kitchens or living rooms, opting instead for shared communal spaces. These areas encourage interaction among residents, reflecting a growing trend toward communal living, especially among younger generations.

Community Engagement

The ground level of the towers is designed to be open and accessible. This design encourages public interaction and community involvement. Features like a basketball court create spaces for social activities, making the towers an integral part of the neighborhood. This direct connection with the community promotes a lively atmosphere where residents can engage with one another and their surroundings.

Technological Integration

An important aspect of the design includes an app that helps enhance daily living. This application assists residents with time management and offers health and wellness suggestions. It also provides updates on community events. By incorporating technology into the living experience, the towers facilitate communication among residents and strengthen community bonds.

Interchangeable Pods

The design includes flexible pods that can be rented by local businesses. These adaptable spaces promote collaboration with the tech company’s headquarters. This setup encourages networking and mentorship between residents and local entrepreneurs, positioning the towers as more than just a place to live. They serve as a hub for economic activity and community engagement.

In summary, the HFW 5G Towers illustrate how modern design can blend various elements of life. The focus on community spaces, flexible living arrangements, and technological support creates an environment that meets the needs of today’s urban dwellers. This approach results in a structure that supports interaction, productivity, and well-being.

The Buildner’s Unbuilt Award 2025: Celebrating Architectural Creativity and Visionary Unbuilt Designs with a Total Prize Fund of €100,000

`
Competition organisers

The Buildner’s Unbuilt Award 2025 is an international architecture competition dedicated to recognizing and celebrating the value of unrealized architectural designs. It invites architects, designers, and students worldwide to submit visionary projects that have not yet been constructed, highlighting the power of ideas and the creativity behind the design process. By focusing on unbuilt work, the competition aims to bring forward concepts that shape the future of architecture and push the boundaries of the profession.

Participants can compete in three categories based on project scale: Small Wonders (up to 100 m²), Medium Marvels (101–999 m²), and Large Visions (over 1,000 m²). Each category winner will receive €20,000, and additional prizes include honorable mentions, student awards, and a special Best Presentation Award. Winning projects will gain significant international exposure through Buildner’s publicity campaign and a feature article on ArchDaily, providing a unique opportunity to showcase creative ideas to a global audience.

The Buildner’s Unbuilt Award 2025 encourages entrants to submit any type of unbuilt project, from conceptual visions to detailed designs, celebrating bold innovation without the constraints of realization. Important deadlines: registration closes on October 30, 2025; submissions are due by November 20, 2025; winners will be announced on December 17, 2025.
