Apta Domum is an architectural design focused on adaptable living. Located in an urban area where maximizing space is crucial, the design caters to the needs of modern lifestyles. It blends living and working spaces into a cohesive environment. Drawing inspiration from the open-plan style of Le Corbusier, the design aims to create a flexible setting through the use of movable and foldable features.

Design Framework

At the center of Apta Domum is a dual-wall system. This structure serves to house various utilities, allowing for efficient reconfiguration of the living space. Because of this design, interiors can be adjusted easily to accommodate different activities. The emphasis on flexibility helps redefine what residential living can mean, making it suitable for various occupants.

Sustainable Features

The design includes a curved roof that enhances energy efficiency. This element allows for the effective integration of solar panels, while also managing rainwater flow. These features reflect a commitment to sustainability. The roof not only fulfills practical needs but contributes to the overall architectural form.

Flexible Living Spaces

Inside Apta Domum, adaptable furniture like foldable tables and chairs promotes efficient use of space. This approach allows individuals to adjust their surroundings according to specific activities and tasks. Such flexibility makes it easier to transition between home life and work life. The design strives to meet the changing demands of urban living.

Practical Elements

A range of practical features is integrated throughout the design, including rainwater storage, compact storage areas, and a library with adjustable shelving. Every aspect is carefully considered to ensure functionality is prioritized. Together, these elements enhance the home’s usability while maintaining a cohesive design throughout the space.

The careful combination of a dual-wall system with a curved roof results in an effective design that captures energy and presents a thoughtful architectural character.
