The design proposal takes a modular approach to bike rest stops, focusing on functionality and community engagement. Located in a natural setting, the goal is to provide cyclists with an inviting space for rest, social interaction, and essential services. Central to the concept is a courtyard featuring a firepit, which encourages a sense of community and offers a place for gatherings among users.

Design Concept
The layout includes a courtyard that serves as a gathering point, surrounded by various structures. These include a picnic table area, covered bike parking, a sleeping area, and a refreshment zone equipped with a dry toilet and a shower. Each component is specifically designed to address the needs of cyclists, ensuring access to necessary amenities for comfort and convenience during their travels.

Material Selection
The framework is constructed from locally recycled timber and steel joints, contributing to the overall sustainability of the design. This choice of materials helps reduce environmental impact while maintaining structural stability. An elevated platform protects cyclists from adverse weather as well as wildlife, enhancing the experience by offering views of the surrounding landscape.

Spatial Dynamics
The covered area follows a trellis-based structure that supports a thick canvas enclosure. This design element allows for flexibility and creates a welcoming atmosphere. The canvas enclosure ensures natural ventilation and offers protection from the elements. The layout promotes openness, encouraging interaction with the natural environment and fostering a sense of connection among users.

The firepit stands out as a central feature, acting as a hub for travelers. It changes the typical rest stop experience into a place for socializing and relaxation. With careful attention to layout and materials, the space meets practical needs while creating an engaging environment for cyclists.
