Nancy Beka is an architectural designer and co-director of Studio Edwards, a Melbourne-based design practice established in 2016 to bring together architecture, interiors and conceptual design with a dedication to pushing these disciplines in innovative and unexpected directions. The studio’s work is defined by elegantly crafted responses that employ inventive solutions to  complex situations and challenging budgets, always striving to test materials,  construction techniques, proportion and form.

Willem van Bolderen, M.Sc., is a founding partner of Helsinki-based Studio Puisto Architects Ltd. After his studies at Delft University of Technology, he finalized his Master in Architecture at the Aalto University of Technology with distinction. Willem worked for some of the leading Architecture offices in Finland before founding Studio Puisto. Since 2015 Willem has been teaching at Aalto University of Technology. Studio Puisto was founded in 2014 and selected as a rising star office by lifestyle magazine Wallpaper in 2016. Studio Puisto has received multiple design awards for its hospitality projects. In projects by Studio Puisto, ecological, economical and social ambitions come together – without compromising on a beautiful and functional end result.

Mari Hunt is an Estonian architect, partner and co-founder of the architecture office b210, a lecturer at the Estonian Academy of Arts, a polar enthusiast and a tiny house builder.

Suzanne Hunt is Founder and Principal Architect at Suzanne Hunt Architect, a multi-awarded practice in Perth, Australia. The practice’s down-to-earth, client focused, design approach inspired by the Australian climate and stunning landscapes results in timeless, tranquil buildings that are beautifully detailed, environmentally and financially sustainable, and of place. Suzie’s ethos is  “Great architecture enriches our lives physically, psychologically, spiritually and emotionally, leaving a legacy for generations to come.”

Pablo Larroulet is a Chilean architect and founder of LARROU ARQ  - Pablo Larroulet Arquitectura. He graduated in 2010 from the Universidad del Desarrollo, Chile having also studied at the Politécnico de Milán, and received an MArch in Design and Innovation from Valencia, Spain in 2005. From 2015 to 2019 he worked in Sydney, Australia at Villa + Villa Architects and is currently working in Valencia, Spain with Fran Silvestre Arquitectos, specialising in the development of residential, commercial and interior design projects. Parallel to his work and life abroad, he is in constant connection with the development of projects in Chile and collaboration with various architectural offices.

Marco Lavit founded his architecture and design practice, Atelier LAVIT, in Paris in 2014. He studied architecture at Ecole Speciale d’Architecture in Paris and at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology. He graduated at ESA in 2011 with a dissertation on wineries sustainable design. His studio covers a variety of projects that range from custom pieces, collectible design, limited editions pieces, industrial design, scenography, open air installations, interiors design, to houses and hotel design. In 2017 Atelier LAVIT realized an exclusive tree house, Origin, for the Park of Raray Castle, France, and a series of surprising, floating cabins for an hotel in Chateauneuf-du-Pape as well as some private suites such as Cabana in Ibiza. Ongoing projects such as private houses and eco-lodges hotels around Europe characterize continuous research on the theme of prefabricated wooden structures and intelligent design.

Jordi Riembau Ribot is a co-founder of Nordest architecture SLP. He received his degree in architecture from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia in 2003. After collaborating in various architecture studios in the city of Barcelona, ​​he founded, in 2004, together with Anna López, the TAB_arquitectes studio. In 2011 he created his own studio; This Is Estudi d’Arquitectura, in which he developed projects in the Girona region, mainly in the Baix Empordà area. At the beginning of 2016, together with Miquel Rusca, he formed the Society This IS Estudi d’Arquitectura SLP. In 2018 he founded, together with Miquel Rusca, Nordest architecture SLP.

Miguel Rusca Mestre is a co-founder of Nordest architecture SLP.  He received his degree in architecture from l'Escola Politècnica Superior d'Arquitectura de Girona in 2014. After collaborating in Domènec Rusca's family office for 6 years, in 2012 he collaborated with the architecture studio Hidalgo- Hartmann in Barcelona. In 2014 he collaborated with Jordi Riembau in This Is Estudi d’Arquitectura studio. At the beginning of 2016, he joined the Society This Is Estudi d’Arquitectura SLP. In 2018 he founded, together with Jordi Riembau, Nordest architecture SLP.

Ahti Sepsivart is an architect, versatile artist and teacher located in Tallinn. His work in all these areas are based on a well-known worldview in which a clear and rational foundation and abstractly spontaneous processes are intertwined. It manifests itself as urban planning ideas, minimalist graphics or precise conceptual interventions and collaborative projects. 

The Caramel Shore Traveller Rooms competition is part of Buildner’ event series focused on small-scale, sustainable living. Participants are asked to design a prototype for a sleeping cabin to be located in the Latvian town of Skrunda, on the golden-sand shores of the Venta River. The Venta River is home to the widest waterfall in Europe, and its brightly yellow caramel color sands make it an idyllic spot for rural tourists to visit. It calls for construction technologies and materials that meet best green-building practices.
