The Tili Wine Italy Guest Homes project is located in Spello, Perugia, emphasizing a thoughtful relationship with its natural environment. It is designed to blend with the landscape while maintaining a focus on hospitality. Visitors will experience a space that highlights the area’s features, such as vegetation and water elements. The concept seeks to create a structure that does not intrude on the site but rather works cohesively with it, enhancing both the guest experience and the surrounding scenery.

Design Concept

The design is focused on a flowing form that relates to the natural shapes found in the landscape. This approach encourages movement throughout the area, with a linear water feature acting as both a guide and a visual element. Communal gathering spaces are strategically placed to promote social interaction. In this way, the design nurtures a welcoming atmosphere that fosters connection among guests.

Materials and Structure

Cross-laminated timber is used for the walls of the guest houses, providing a balance of strength and sustainability. This choice aligns with modern construction methods and supports the overall ecological goals of the design. The existing stone from the original building is preserved, paying homage to the location's history. The combination of these materials creates a design that is both functional and rich in context.

Interior Spaces

Open-plan layouts characterize the interiors, offering flexibility for various uses. Large courtyards provide natural light and serve as links to the outdoors. This integration promotes a peaceful environment, allowing guests to connect with nature without leaving the comfort of their accommodations. The layout supports a relaxed experience that encourages rest and tranquility.

Functional Areas

Dining and wine tasting spaces are included to serve both guests and the public, enhancing the cultural aspect of the experience. These areas are positioned to be easily accessible, drawing visitors into the story of Tili Wine. This strategic placement signals the importance of community engagement and enjoyment centered around the wine heritage.

The use of selected materials contributes to a balanced design, with visible wooden elements that reinforce sustainability while enhancing the overall aesthetic. Visitors will find a space that respects both tradition and modern practices.
