The Prithivi Puzzle House is an architectural project designed to connect with the natural environment while serving as a multifunctional space for yoga and community engagement. Situated in a tranquil setting, this structure embodies the principles of stable and supportive living, drawing inspiration from the Indian concept of "Prithivi," which refers to the Earth. The design focuses on creating an environment that fosters wellness, mental clarity, and social interaction.

The primary function of the Prithivi Puzzle House is to serve as both a residence and a retreat for yoga practitioners. It integrates living spaces with areas designated for wellness activities, emphasizing a lifestyle that promotes mindfulness and connection with nature. The layout is organized around a central courtyard, which enhances natural lighting and facilitates airflow throughout the building.

Spatially, the design includes several key components: an entrance zone with integrated storage solutions, a combined living and yoga space that features a sunken sofa for relaxation, a compact kitchenette adjacent to a dining area, and dedicated bathrooms. This organization supports flexibility and adaptability, allowing spaces to accommodate varying activities and gatherings.

The use of specific materials is central to the uniqueness of this project. The walls are constructed from rammed earth, providing excellent thermal insulation and a connection to the ground. The interiors of the house feature brick strips and clay mortar, ensuring durability while maintaining a natural aesthetic. Foam glass insulation enhances energy efficiency, while reinforced concrete lintels allow for expansive openings that foster interaction with the landscape. A laminated timber ceiling introduces warmth, contributing to the overall ambiance of the interior.

The Prithivi Puzzle House distinguishes itself by its design methods and sustainability practices. The emphasis on local materials reduces the environmental footprint, echoing a commitment to sustainable architecture. The central courtyard not only serves as a communal space but also facilitates social interactions among residents, fostering a sense of community. This approach demonstrates how design decisions can enhance both the function of a space and its connection to the environment.
