The Bhujangasana Yoga Studio is an architectural project designed as a serene space for yoga practice, located in the tranquil Vale de Moses Shala. This project embodies the principles of mindfulness and wellness, reflecting its namesake, which translates to "Cobra Pose." Through its thoughtful design, Bhujangasana not only serves a practical function but also symbolizes a deeper connection to nature and the holistic approach to health.

Functionally, the studio is intended to provide a peaceful environment for yoga practitioners to engage in their practices and connect with their surroundings. The architecture is characterized by its open layout, allowing for versatility in usage, with the main yoga studio at its core and ancillary spaces such as dressing rooms, a kitchenette, and showers strategically placed for convenience.

The design focuses on creating a seamless flow between indoor and outdoor environments, achieved by incorporating large floor-to-ceiling windows that bathe the interior in natural light and offer panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Design a new small-scale home concept in the 10th edition of MICROHOME — 100,000 € prize + construction

Competition organisers

The 10th edition of the MICROHOME architecture competition invites architects and designers from around the world to explore the possibilities of compact, sustainable living. Hosted by Buildner in collaboration with Kingspan and Hapi Homes, this special edition challenges participants to design an off-grid, modular microhome for a young professional couple, with a maximum floor area of 25 m². Designs should prioritize innovation, efficiency, and real-world feasibility. 

A total prize fund of 100,000 € will be awarded, including three main prizes, the Kingspan Award, and the Hapi Homes Award, which will grant 15,000 € and lead to the construction of the selected design.
