5 key facts about this project
The design focuses on the theme of wine, showcasing its importance in a region filled with vineyards. Located in this lush environment, the initiative aims to create a complex that supports wine tasting tours and highlights the organic products from Tili Vini. The overall design combines traditional architectural styles with modern technology to improve the visitor experience and engage the local community.
Spatial Configuration
The main building serves as the heart of the complex for wine tasting and selling local products, placed directly along the street to ensure easy access. Surrounding this central structure are five guest houses connected by a shared backyard, which offers access to vineyard fields and functions as a space for community events. The building's roof design draws inspiration from the neighboring hills, guiding the eye toward the boutique and enhancing its relationship with the landscape.
Materiality
A key aspect of the design is the use of pinewood, which connects the guest houses and the boutique visually. This material adds warmth to the structures and provides practical benefits, such as shade over outdoor areas. The presence of grapevine tendrils further emphasizes the harmony between the built environment and the vineyards, fostering a strong link to the local agricultural setting.
Sustainability Measures
Sustainability plays an important role in the design approach. Photovoltaic panels are placed on the southern roof of the boutique, capturing solar energy to enhance energy efficiency. Rainwater collection systems integrated into the guest house roofs help supply water for irrigation and other uses. A heat pump supports temperature control, while passive design features, like effective cross-ventilation and shading from greenery, help improve comfort during warmer months.
Interior Experience
Inside the boutique, the focus is on creating a welcoming space for wine tasting. The design resembles natural stone wine cellars, serving both as a bar and as a display area for local wines and products. Barrel-shaped tables contribute to the thematic approach. Additionally, an underground kitchen allows guests to watch meal preparation through a glass floor, connecting them to the culinary experience.
The arrangement of the guest houses consists of duplex units, each with kitchens and living areas on the lower floors and bedrooms above. Private pools offer views of the vineyards, creating a peaceful setting and enhancing the connection to the surrounding landscape.
