5 key facts about this project
01
Central workroom designed to maximize views and natural light for artistic inspiration Incorporates a multi-functional "Art Cube" for exhibitions and community gatherings Strategically placed larch wood cladding enhances thermal performance and aesthetics Alumina panels used for roof perimeter provide a modern contrast to natural materials Private yard surrounded by trees promotes a tranquil outdoor space for residents.

The "Art for You: House for Painters" combines creativity and daily living in a functional way. Located along a road with views of the river, the design allows for a blend of personal space and artistic engagement. The concept emphasizes that art is part of everyday life, encouraging growth and a sense of community among artists.

Design Concept

The house features a thoughtful layout that promotes both practicality and inspiration. By incorporating two primary axes, the design establishes clear organization while taking advantage of the site's natural scenery. This arrangement enhances light and sightlines, making the spaces feel open and connected to their environment.

Workroom and Artistic Space

A central element of the design is the workroom, which is strategically positioned for maximum connection with the outdoors. This area encourages creativity and serves as a vibrant space for artistic work. Large windows and views draw the landscape in, inviting inspiration while providing privacy with the help of surrounding trees.

Multi-Functional "Art Cube"

The project includes an "Art Cube," designed for versatility. This structure functions as both an exhibition space for artists and a gathering spot for families. This design choice fosters interaction and collaboration, reinforcing the idea that art thrives in a shared environment. The cube reflects a commitment to creating spaces that support both individual expression and community engagement.

Materiality

Materials were selected to provide both visual appeal and practical functionality. Larch wood is used for exterior finishes, offering a warmth that contrasts nicely with closed alumina plates on the roof. Structural components include lumber beams and steel sheet profiles, which add stability and a clean look. The use of interactive heat insulation enhances energy efficiency, addressing modern sustainability needs.

The design culminates in a terrace that connects the indoor living areas with the outside. This space offers a calming spot to enjoy the surrounding views and engage with the natural setting.
