The project near Cernostes Lake features a thoughtful design that caters to the needs of artists looking for an inspiring living environment. Surrounded by natural beauty, the site fosters a strong connection between the occupants and their surroundings. The concept emphasizes functional living spaces organized into distinct zones, promoting both privacy and social interaction, ideal for creative pursuits.

Architecture Concept

The design consists of three main zones: two separate living areas located on the east and west sides, and a central communal space. Each living area is designed for a family, providing essential components such as an entrance hall, a children's bedroom with bunk beds, a master bedroom with wardrobe space, and a bathroom. This layout supports independent living while also nurturing a sense of community among families.

Interior and Exterior Connectivity

The central area offers a spacious open-plan living room, kitchen, and dining zone to facilitate family gatherings and daily life. The design captures natural light and scenic views of the lake, supported by a gable roof and simple geometric form that harmonizes with the environment. The living room opens directly to a porch, connecting indoor spaces with outdoor areas, creating an inviting extension for relaxation and interaction.

Environmental Integration

The design carefully considers the natural context, preserving existing vegetation and landscape features to avoid disruption. The elevated position of the house ensures broad views of the surroundings, reinforcing the connection between people and nature. Sunlight analysis shows that the living areas are oriented to take full advantage of morning and evening light, contributing to a calm and welcoming atmosphere.

Unique Design Elements

A notable feature of the project is the atelier beside the porch, which incorporates a glass structure that can be opened in warm weather. This allows for unobstructed views and promotes a creative workspace. The relationship between the transparent structure and the natural environment highlights the goal of blending artistic vision with functional living, reinforcing the importance of the surroundings in inspiring creativity.
