Tili Multi Guest House is located at the base of Monte Subasio in Umbria, Italy. The design emphasizes a close relationship with the natural surroundings, particularly the region's rich agricultural heritage of grapes and olives. The main concept of "resonance" shapes the architecture, creating a space that feels connected to the landscape while offering a serene retreat for guests.

Design Concept

The concept of resonance is central to the design, as reflected in the low roof heights that create a cozy and intimate environment. This choice allows visitors to feel connected to the landscape, enhancing their experience of the majestic mountain. Guest houses are positioned to face Monte Subasio, with roofs that extend outward to promote a sense of openness, merging the buildings with the natural views.

Functional Organization

Spaces within the guest house are thoughtfully arranged to encourage visitor engagement. Areas such as a tasting room, outdoor terraces, and guest accommodations are strategically placed to foster interaction with the local culture. This layout facilitates social gatherings, helping guests connect with each other and the surrounding environment.

Simplicity in Construction

The design prioritizes minimal material use, with specific materials not detailed in the presentation. This approach aligns with the goal of creating structures that blend with their surroundings and maintain a low profile. By focusing on simplicity, the design enhances its visual appeal while reinforcing the connection between the built spaces and nature.

Design Details

Key elements of the project are highlighted in a concept diagram. Terms like "Formhouse," "Extend," "Lower," "Shrink," and "Spread" illustrate the thoughtful progression in shaping spaces. A notable design feature is the small scale of the interiors, which encourages guests to experience a direct relationship with the landscape, creating a calming atmosphere throughout their stay.
