Tili Wine Italy Guest Homes is designed as a welcoming space that highlights the culture of winemaking in a lush vineyard setting. The guest homes provide a retreat for visitors looking to experience the local wine and the natural beauty of the region. The focus is on community, making it easy for guests to connect with each other and with the vineyard itself.

Spatial Organization

The homes are arranged to encourage interaction among guests. There are two main public tasting areas: a bar located on the first floor and an open-air tasting space on the ground floor. This division allows for a range of social activities, from lively gatherings to quieter moments. The use of glass doors enhances movement between these areas, allowing natural light to flow in and creating a connection with the outside.

Cultural Context

Visitors are greeted by walls of wine barrels that set the scene before they enter. These barrels serve a practical purpose, while also highlighting the winemaking process and its traditions. A spacious staircase leads down to a sunken cellar, inviting exploration within the building. This sense of discovery engages guests and immerses them in the experience of the vineyard.

Material Use

Materials in the guest homes focus on practicality and heritage. Wine barrels are a prominent feature, acting as both storage and significant design elements. Their presence connects the architecture to local traditions and reflects the identity of the region's winemaking. This choice of material reinforces the story being told through the architecture, making the experience richer for all visitors.

Connection to Landscape

Outdoor spaces play a significant role in the overall design. Private gardens and viewing platforms blend seamlessly with the architecture, allowing guests to enjoy the surrounding vineyard landscape. These areas provide a place for guests to relax and take in their environment, enhancing their connection to nature. Large communal tables encourage shared meals, enabling guests to enjoy local dishes and wines together. The setting sun casts a warm light over everything, creating a comfortable and inviting atmosphere.
