The Lost is located in Dobong-dong, Dobong-gu, and is designed specifically for photographers who want to engage with the varying effects of natural light. The project explores the relationship between artificial light and the natural environment, raising questions about how these two forms of illumination affect our experience of living. The design aims to integrate natural light into the home, creating an environment where residents feel connected to the surrounding landscape.

Spatial Configuration
- The layout features open corridors that promote the flow of light throughout the home. These corridors serve as connecting spaces, allowing natural light to enter and enhance the atmosphere. This arrangement encourages residents to experience different lighting conditions as they move throughout the house.

Photography Integration
- At the heart of the design is a dedicated photo studio that is optimized for capturing natural light. With large windows that bring the outdoors in, the studio is designed to take advantage of shifting light conditions. The nearby open hallway complements the studio, providing additional space for various photography activities and fostering creative possibilities.

Contemplative Spaces
- A specially designed bathroom adds an element of tranquility to the home. This intimate space encourages moments of reflection, offering residents a chance to observe rain and changing weather. The design of the bathroom emphasizes the importance of nature in daily life, creating an experience that goes beyond functionality.

Site Context
- The location is chosen for its abundant sunlight and picturesque mountainous backdrop. The surrounding landscape enhances the living experience, as it plays a significant role in shaping the quality of light that enters the home. This connection to the outdoors elevates the design, harmonizing indoor and outdoor experiences.

Large openings and carefully placed corridors invite light into the home, creating a dynamic interplay of shadows and light that changes throughout the day. This emphasis on light makes the spaces feel alive, enriching the experience of living and working within.
