The Origami project presents a functional cabin designed to serve two main purposes: one area for entrance and another dedicated to meditation. The overall layout emphasizes accessibility while fostering a peaceful environment. The design reflects a modern approach that accommodates various user needs, creating an inviting space for both daily activities and quiet reflection.

Design Concept

The cabin has clear divisions between its two areas. The entrance space allows for a smooth transition into the meditation zone. This arrangement allows each part to fulfill its role effectively. Users can easily shift from the everyday world to a more tranquil setting, enhancing their overall experience. The separation also ensures that one’s entry and contemplation do not disturb the other.

Accessibility Features

Accessibility is a key aspect of the design. An additional entrance caters to individuals with disabilities, affirming the commitment to inclusivity. This feature is a thoughtful addition that helps make the cabin welcoming for everyone. It highlights the intention behind the design, which is to ensure that all users can enjoy the space, regardless of their physical limitations.

Structural Approach

The cabin uses a mortise and tenon joint technique, which is known for its strength and efficiency. This traditional method facilitates quick assembly while maintaining durability. By choosing this approach, the design combines modern needs with time-tested practices. This balance reflects a deep understanding of how to build a structure that can withstand both usage and the passage of time.

Interior Layout

The interior layout maximizes space while providing functionality. Each area is designed to encourage a specific type of use, whether it’s the bustling entrance or the calming meditation area. The plan promotes an efficient flow within the cabin, which helps create a peaceful atmosphere. The entrance also includes space for shoes and personal belongings, effectively blending everyday practicalities with thoughtful design.

The cabin invites users to step inside, where the careful arrangement of each space fosters a sense of calm. It effectively balances functionality with a welcoming environment, encouraging moments of reflection amid the daily routine.
