What does architecture mean to you and what is the role of an architect in your society?
The architect has a role with very important social repercussions, both on a practical and cultural level, and this is demonstrated by the fact that it is a profession that for thousands of years has continued to provide answers to human needs. Today more than ever, there is a need for an intellectually honest approach, capable of reaffirming the centrality of a discipline that is fundamental to human living without falling into passing fads or technicalities for their own sake. There is a need to focus on the design of places with great spatial quality, where composition and beauty are once again placed at the centre of the project.
